And ohmigosh sugar snap peas. Who can live without them? This is another one that has to start from seeds, and they need to go in the ground in February.

So I’ve got a good start on my list: arugula, couple of different radishes, sugar snaps, and two beets: Avalanche and Chioggia. Then I’ll start the same doodling on summer plants, and end up dreaming of some new plants there too. Finally, with a good list worked out, I order the seeds now, in January. And feel terribly virtuous.

Maybe next month we’ll talk more about summer vegetables. If you can’t wait, take a look at The Bountiful Container for ideas.
